Tomorrow, President Obama will address the nation's children. Several states have already decided that their schools will not air the address. The children in Texas, Illinois, Virginia, Wisconsin, Missouri and Minnesota will miss the address, and the parents of those children have lost the right to decide for themselves what is best for their children. What does this say to the world about democracy as a principle when a democratically elected President is not allowed to address a large portion…

Nobody ever said: ...
Nobody ever said: building a website
that designing, building, selecting a developer, debugging, maintaining, updating, staying up to date, and in general trying to figure out what everyone wants in a economy like this, for a contractor driven website would be so tough and time consuming after the site launch date.
The fun really begins after you go live and we tho

No, I'm not a perv . . . but I've noticed a trend in my own experience running a home-based business.
Running a home biz has its advantages - you can crawl out of bed, throw on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, grab a cup of coffee and head upstairs to the office. But it has been my experience that the days that I do just that - I am the least productive. I end up spending too much time checking the sports scores, too much time on Twitter or the other social networking sites, and basically end up…

I have an older house and 4.08 acres of land up for sale on Hwy 601. The property is located directly across from Lakeview Church. It includes a pond stocked with catfish, an older home built around 1932, and two buildings.
The value is in the land and the location, not the house. This is a beautiful stretch of land located in a prime location. Check out the web site at:
601house.com for more information.
This is perfect for someone that is…

As I sat in church yesterday, I had a short conversation with God during the middle of praise and worship and declared to Him that "I'm In". My thoughts regarding those two little words are related to spiritual matters and runs pretty deep. I won't get into that here. If you want to know more about the spiritual side of it, ask me and I'll explain in more detail on a private basis.
But as I thought on those words and that commitment this morning, I realized that it could be related to everythin…

"Last week the latest ASP Home Staging Stats came in: 94.8% of ASP Staged Homes sell on average in 37 days or less and 182 days or longer for non Staged homes! The ASP stats were gathered from November 2008 through May 2009 from over 1,000 ASP's across the US and Canada. The study also showed that 55% of the properties that are ASP Staged are vacant properties and 45% are occupied properties."
In today's market your home needs to stand out when it is listed to sell. Remember "the way you live in…

I found 5 star heating and air listed on this site and they did a first class replacement of my 5 ton heat pump & air handler at a fair price. They are a class act, without their add on this site I would never find them.

I believe way too much emphasis is placed on the "bad economy".
Sure things are down, but can worry change anything? Can telling everyone we meet, how bad the economy is and whether or not we are going to make it, change it one degree? The time we spend wringing our hands, and saying "woe is me", is wasted time and it produces a defeatist attitude.
Rid yourself of that.
Wake up with a smile on your face, and determination in your heart that nothing - absolutely NOTHING is going to hold you ba…

One of the things we wanted to do when we opened UCN was to share our positive business experiences with our members. We also agreed that we would
not post negatives - we want to help local businesses grow, not hurt them by posting complaints (we have a pro's and a con's area in the forum where you can share YOUR business experiences with the membership here at UCN). Unfortunately, the last few places we've gone to have not been positive experiences.
Last night we went to a coffee house…
